David Ferry-- Hard Weather-- digital print ---V-6, Cardiff

This exhibition is made up of selected prints from the international portfolio project called VARIO. The Folio exchange project has involved 48 artist from Australia, Hawaii in the USA and V-6 Artists, Printmakers and Publishers from Cardiff.
The project was instigated by Tony Ameneiro, from SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS PRINTMAKERS, New South Wales, Australia. Other organizations involved in the exchange include, IMPRESS printmakers studio, Brisbane , The UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, with work selected by Charles Cohan, Printmaking Chair and the six members of V-6, the printmaking research group based in the College of Art and Design, UWIC.
An interesting range of approach, subject matter and printmaking techniques are illustrated in this exhibition, as is typical of work drawn from such different sources. Traditional printmaking methods such as etching, lithography and screen-printing along with examples of digital print, make up the work in this first showing of VARIO.
